In-House Usage in Alma
In-house loans are recorded when an item is scanned but not checked out (a non-circulating item that is used by a patron, then scanned and re-shelved by staff, for example). Books found used in the library but not loaned to a person, i.e.: staff members scanning in books that have been found on tables but not checked out of the library or on loan.
Process for In-House Usage:
Example: “Pharmacology for Canadian Health Care Practice”
Item ID: 0134112578536
Fulfillment -> Resource Requests -> Scan in Items
Enter Barcode and Click Ok
Item Details will appear on the screen. Exit to complete process.
To see that this has been successful. Look up the item and select “Other Details”
Other Details and look for Number of in house uses
Before Re-Shelving stamp the Due Date Sticker with the return Due Date Stamp
