  1. Log-in to SLC.me.

  2. Click on the Books (image below) on your hub to go to the library homepage.
  3. On our databases page select the link for the resource you want to access.
  4. You will be connected with no further log-in required.

Please note: If accessing through SLC.me, permalinks created may not function correctly, to create permalinks please go through the library website access.

Please note, if you are experiencing login difficulties it could be due to:

  • You do not have an active SLC account. If you are a new student or employee, you will not have access to the online library until you are activated in the campus system. This can sometimes take several days after registration.
  • Your sign-on credentials are the same as other SLC systems including SLC.me, BlackBoard and email - this is called "Single Sign On" or SSO. If you have been locked out of your SLC account, access may be restored by contacting the ITS department ( slc.me@sl.on.ca) or through self-serve password retrieval. ITS has a page of How-to guides for students and staff.
  • You are trying to access a resource that is not licensed through SLC Library, is not available, or is rendering a broken link. To help us troubleshoot, contact the library with as much detail as possible about the specific resource you want to access (i.e. a specific article, ebook or video title) and a screenshot, if possible.
  • You are trying to login to a third-party or vendor provided account. Users are only required to enter their SLC credentials to access online library  resources. Many databases or sites have optional accounts that users may opt-in to self-register to access additional features. For example, to download an eBook to a personal device, you may be prompted for a MyEbscoHost Account or a Proquest eBook Central Account. The library team can assist with these additional features.
