Textbooks

Please check the terms of use statement that comes with any textbook you choose. Often there are restrictions on what you can do with the additional assets and material, even though you've paid for them.

Textbooks are a big expense for your students and the #1 source of post-secondary copyright issues. Your students do not want to buy your books, this is a fact and one you need to accept. Renting print and eCopies are also not always an option.

Where possible please consider switching to an Open Education Resource (OER). If you need help getting started with OERs you can contact Katherine McMillan in the library, or the School of Contemporary Teaching and Learning (SCTL) for guidance.

Before coming to Katherine with questions, please check our FAQ page to see if your textbook question has already been answered.
