Library News for SLC Faculty: OERs, “How to Use the Library” and Academic Integrity Resources

Did you know that all faculty, staff, and students have full access to the SLC library collections? Most Online eResources can be accessed on and off-campus 24/7 using your SLC credentials. To borrow in person, your Staff ID Card is your Library Card!

OERs and “LERs”

Consider using Open Educational Resources (OERs) or items already in the library collections (“Library Educational Resources”) to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses for students. The library currently provides access to over 250,000 eBooks. If you are considering adopting a library eBook as a required text for your course, please confirm licensing details first by contacting the library.

Information Literacy or “How to Use the Library”

“Library anxiety” is a real phenomenon. Many students have never used a library before; for faculty and staff, it may have been awhile since you’ve used a library and you don’t want to ask for help. Our resources change rapidly, so don’t be shy with your questions! The library team is here to help with a menu of services and resources.
